with Fen kennedy
Fen has been teaching dance for twenty years, beginning in ballet, tap, and modern dance. They began teaching social dance in 2012. They are currently the head of the dance MFA program at the University of Alabama. Fen has published on decolonizing and queering dance classes and curricula, creating trust in the classroom, dance competitions, dance and disability access, and more.
This year Fen was recognized by the National Dance Education Organization as their Outstanding Emerging Dance Educator in Higher Education of 2024.
